Karen A. Prendergast has exhibited her drawings, paintings, prints, and other works on paper in the United States and Italy.

Ms. Prendergast is a painter, illustrator, graphic artist, visual designer, software and web designer, and writer.  She designed, edited, and typeset (TeX, LaTeX) several books for leading publishers. She co-founded and managed three technology companies, including Ascent Technology, Inc., a leading developer of resource-optimization and allocation software for the air-transportation industry. 

She holds three degrees in fine arts: the BA and BFA from Emmanuel College (Boston, MA) and the MA from New York University (New York City, NY). She also studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA); the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA); and Harvard University (Cambridge, MA).

Ms. Prendergast lives and works in Massachusetts.
